today in a nutshell (but not really)-
+ got to stay home and sleep, get healthy, study, study some more, etc after having a ginormous spaz at my mom
- spent large amount of day studying calc. which was the point, but still...ech
+ didn't play oboe at all in my lesson today but instead we just worked on my arranged piece and i played english horn the whole time which i luuurve
+ got a haircut tonight...nothing drastic..but much nicer
+ more or less know calc now except my AP book isn't that hard so i feel like the actual AP will be much harder. oh well, still helps.
- on the other hand, i studied too long and now i'll be tired tomorrow..ooooooops
+ ate peanut M&Ms.
+ was warm today for the first time in like 5 years. aka since..august? lol
so APs almost 2/3 done...and then i can work more on oboe and bagpipe..and the rest of my large amount of schoolwork..*rolls eyes*
but anywho im off to sleep gnight all!!

oh mah wooooooord english horn is GORGEOUS.
i was lying on my bed today reading and i almost fell asleep and my mom was like just go to sleep now and get up at 4 to do hw. the sad thing is i'll go to bed late after doing no hw and get up at like 530 or 6 anyway so i prob shudve done that. but then i wouldnt have practiced ENGLISH HOOOOOOORN. and the band piece is great and all but then i was listening to assorted les mis songs and figuring out the oboe/english horn parts which was aaaaawesome.
now im off to have some cocoa. except its not as fun w/o marshmallows..but ill deal i guess..sigh.

lallalalalaaaa. hmm its been yeeears since i updated. i was just looking at my sophomore year posts where i had like 3 a day... anywho i just sent my SAT thing WHEWWWW cuz i had to wait for my latest scores. plus i looked at the average scores for some of my schools and they were mostly lower than mine (except for mcgill..damn), so thats reassuring.
and in funner news we're having another rapper sleepover during vacation! sleepover #2! except it will be totally different with diff people. but still awesome.
and i made chocolate toffee bark with only supervision from my mom (as opposed to her doing half of it)..i feel like a gourmet chef. even tho its the easiest thing ever. and toffee pieces make a great snack..
i tried to open a can of soup today and it exploded everywhere cuz it was one of those things where you pull the metal loop up then pull back the top..but im not used to those things and it wouldnt go!! raawwwwwr!
hmmm what else to say. im bringing my laptop to DC to finish apps if i dont do it tomorrow (which i probly wont) which is a little less pressure. but still pressure. but im almost done! now that some people have already gotten in to college..heh oh well. and im buying candy tonight before/after PALS (as in large amounts to give away), and ill buy more before insti. heh heh heh. maybe my parents would pay for tonight's if i tell them its for a party..hmmm. which i guess it could be..for math..BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now i dunno what to do with myself before PALS. besides, uno, study for my french test. pshhh w/e. ill study later/tomorrow.

UGH SO BORED.
so today after my mom described me as looking "green around the gills" i took a nap, which was weird cuz i woke up and it was dark...very strange feeling. vaaaair vaaair strange. omg im gonna die of boredom. and tonight i hafta do like 2 hrs of bio prep..WHY AM I DOING THIS?? oh right, carnegie mellon. *sigh*
mmmm levi leap was fun lol. i guess ive kinda stopped posting after every nfty event about how amazing it was, but either it goes without saying (the institutes) or it wasnt that amazing (some of the dances). is it weird that im already REALLY excited for prom? probly.

making lunch is SO FUN!! i spent way too long making sandwiches for tomorrow, but they are PERFECT. im also rereading this awesome girly novel and i think im gonna finish it tonight..which is bad cuz im not that near the end. ah well, so much for sleeping.
oh yeh, and my first voice lesson was today, which was lotsa fun. im learning this really pretty song by fauret (sp?) for next week. and my oboe lesson was..not so fun, since we worked on that stupid audition thing for band, which i just finished practicing..im pretty good at it now tho.

so i got invited to be in the senior orchestra at longy, and idk whether to do it..i gave up an AMAZING chorus to have free saturdays and now im kinda excited for that, so i dont wanna have rehearsal every week. the thing is the orchestra's really good but i cant tell whether itll be worth it..the last time i was in an orchestra it totally sucked. the conductor seems good but it really matters what the other ppl are like and i wont know till i join it. plus im gonna be in band which may not be great but its more playing than im used to. gahhhhhhhhhh idk.
i should prolly go to bed..ughh i hate school. today was ok i guess, but itll only get worse..on the bright side i saw Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tonight which was EXCELLENT. great music too..heh heh.

so tomorrow might be my last day of Vocal Vacation forever cuz my mom wants me to get a job next summer instead..but hopefully she'll let me do both. anyway the concert tonight was fun, and afterward was..bittersweet? and a bit awk. but w/e.
idk if im seeing hairspray tomorrow..im really stressed about my programs and i only have 2 days to finish writing them. if i can do work in the afternoon tho ill prolly go..idk call me if you wanna see it.

so my july is planned out! yay! im basically going to two different bagpipe camps with vocal vacation in the middle. oh and intense drivers ed for a week..oyyy. but hopefully i can get my license in september and maybe even drive myself to school?!?! now for august..heh gotta plan that..i might go to san fran for a few days by myself to stay with my cousin, then my parents would fly out and meet me and we'd stay for about a week. which would be sooooo cool (cool=fifties word..yess).
the pals concert tonight was quite fun. and we sounded amazing lol. plus itll be nice to have free thursday nights now.
mmmmk off to do the history proj which is basically my whole term grade..and then study for math final..ahhhhhhh. i cant wait for may 24 when my life kinda starts again..

hmm this weekend was CRAAAAAAZY. i basically had fun times w/ all diff social groups- semi, then kallah, then m/r today.
so yeh semi was...ok? not as good as i expected..it was fun tho. AND THE CORSAGE WAS SO CUTE I LOVE YOU GUYS. yeh anyway after a while i started enjoying dancing..it definitely got better as it went on so it was sad to leave.
and then kallah was awesome..and i havent cried yet but i think itll hit me at some weird time. its kinda sinking in now. it sucks that most of my good friends in my grade are on board..so itll be AMAZING but..rawr. ah well! lotsa fun tho. especially the pigpile haha.
theeeeeeeeeen today i was supposed to dance morris at Lilac Sunday, which is this big event at an arboretum. except that i got there at like 2:30 or something and they had already finished, so i basically hung around with a few people talking about peeing off trees and stuff for 45 minutes (im now famous for my peeing-off-a-tree method..i actually had to show them how in the middle of the park. with my mom watching). ive realized i basically have a crush on every guy at morris/rapper cuz theyre all so awesome, just one in particular is SO ATTRACTIVE.
yup that was my weekend. dancing is my new favorite thing. especially running into a circle of people and randomly doing crazy gangsta moves..i mighta done that a few times at kallah..
oh and of course AP theory tomorrow. YAY. but i think my mom will accept if i get a bad score cuz i complained to her how i have a bad ear etc etc. so thats less pressure.

ugh i have a dilemma. i dont see how i can write a personal essay when i know mr kennedy is going to read it. for example.."the things I carry"? unless i say i like carry stress about school or something he does NOT need to know what i carry. but i cant like not do the assignment..gahhhhhhhh. i literally cannot stand english anymore..and my grades are kinda showing it. i mean nothing too bad yet but this term who knows....
in other news..hmm idk. the walk for hunger was tiring but fun. and now i hafta go dance..then do about 3 years of hw. and this week i have a concert and an audition then semi and kallah and a morris/rapper gig. mmmm junior year is fun. mk im done ranting..at least SATs are over, and im only taking the french one in june.
